This two-phase project saw the formation of a link corridor, additional offices and a revised entrance to the chapel providing a new circulation route from the entrance to the day centre without the need to pass through a ward. 

In doing so it enabled phase two to create a new physiotherapy room, 4 new individual bedrooms, new aromatherapy room, social services office and guest bedroom suite to proceed. 

The project was then completed with the erection of an enlarged nurses office, treatment room and additional equipment/supplies store.
